Biography

Dr. Bereolos is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified diabetes care and education specialist with a private practice in North Texas. She works with people living with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, MS, chronic pain, obesity, etc as well as conducting pre-surgical evaluations.

Dr. Bereolos was the spokesperson for diabetes and mental health for many years and was interviewed for numerous articles targeted at patients and HCP’s, including Diabetes Forecast, WebMD, DocRadio, Oprah Magazine, Healthline, etc. She also frequently speaks to a variety of groups on topics related to the psychosocial aspects of chronic conditions. From 2018-2021, she served on the Board of the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists and became a fellow of that organization in 2021. Currently, she is the membership chair of APA’s div 55 (prescribing psychologists).

Dr. Bereolos earned her Ph.D. in clinical health psychology/behavioral medicine and a MPH with a focus in health behavior. In October 2019, she earned a post-doctoral master’s degree in clinical psychopharmacology. Dr. Bereolos is originally from Illinois and enjoys to travel. She obtained a certificate in culinary arts in 2013.
