Biography

Jerry Dang is the Chief General Surgery Resident at the University of Alberta. He is the incoming Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Flexible Endoscopy Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic. He recently completed his PhD in Surgery with a focus on the gut microbiome, bariatric surgery and obesity.

Dr. Dang’s research interests are in the areas of obesity, bariatric surgery and minimally invasive surgery. He pursues both basic and clinical science research.
