Biography
Lindsey Sharp, MD is a fellowship trained private practice bariatric surgeon at UNC/Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. He is the medical director of Rex Bariatric Specialists and former Chairman of the Department of Surgery at UNC/Rex Hospital. His practice focus is duodenal switch, SADI-S, and complex revisional bariatric surgery.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University in 1999 with a BS in Cell and Molecular biology. He completed his medical degree at Emory University in 2003 and his residency in General Surgery in 2008. He then completed his fellowship in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Duke University in 2009. He has been in practice at UNC/Rex hospital since 2009.
