In recent years, knowledge of the physiologic changes that cause the body to maintain excess body weight has greatly increased. It is now known that anti-obesity medications can be useful adjuncts to bariatric surgery; however, these drugs are underutilized. To update bariatric clinicians on improved strategies for obesity management, HME and the Obesity Action Coalition will conduct a live CME symposium during the ASMBS Annual Meeting. The program will feature a unique format including a cross-disciplinary style interview among 3 expert faculty that will be enhanced by media-rich, interactive infographics.
