Biography
Dr. Melissa Butt is a T32 Primary Care Research Fellow at Penn State Health in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. She has her Doctorate in Public Health with a focus in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
Dr. Butt also has two graduate certificates in clinical research and translational science from Penn State College of Medicine. For the past three years, Dr. Butt has collaborated with the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Penn State Health to explore patient-centered outcomes for patients in the surgical weight loss program.
She has several publications in SOARD and other related journals and has focused on mental health disorders, body image, disordered eating, health disparities, and associations between bariatric surgery and dermatology.
