Biography
Dr. Campos is the Paul J. Nutter Professor of Surgery and the Chairman of the Division of Bariatric and Gastrointestinal Surgery at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia. He is the Director of the VCU Bariatric Surgery Program and Associate Director of the VCU Foregut, Bariatric and Advanced GI/MIS Fellowship. Dr. Campos’ research has focused on treatment outcomes after minimally invasive procedures for obesity and esophageal diseases, and mechanisms for resolution of obesity associated diseases with weight loss surgery. He has authored or co-authored over 120 peer-reviewed articles and chapters in books.
