Biography

Brooke Doucet serves as the Bariatric Program Manager for the Ochsner Lafayette General Health System. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Brooke began her career in Bariatrics in 2005 and shortly after achieved her certificate from The American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery as a Certified Bariatric Nurse. She currently serves as the Co-Director on the Integrated Health Multidisciplinary Committee which is currently concentrating on developing a mentorship program for the Allied Health professionals. She is also a member of the La State Chapter of ASMBS and the Obesity Action Coalition. Brooke has played an integral part in creating bariatric programs across the Ochsner Lafayette Health System with the last program being at the University Hospital and Clinics in Lafayette, one of Louisiana’s historic charity hospitals.
