Biography

Founder, director, and award-winning surgeon with more than 12 years of experience. She is the President of the New Jersey state chapter of ASMBS, Board Member at New Jersey Doctor-Patient Alliance, and Chair of Post Operative Weight Recurrence Task Force (POWER). As part of the Board of Directors at the ASMBS Foundation, devoted to furthering the field of Obesity through research, education and awareness. Founded the Metabolic and Bariatric Center at Saint Michaels Medical Center, Newark, NJ that achieved the MBSAQIP comprehensive status of excellence. Went to then start the Weight Loss and Metabolic Center at East Orange Hospital, EO, NJ. Has several publications in top peer reviewed journals such as Surgical Endoscopy and Surgery for Obesity and Related Disorders (SOARD).
