Biography

Dr. Ravi Rao MBBS FRACS FASMBS is the director of Perth Surgical & Bariatrics in Perth WA. He is a West Australian trained FRACS with fellowship in Minimal Invasive Surgery USA with Dr. Titus Duncan Atlanta Georgia 2008.He performed the first laparoscopic SIPS/ SADI-S procedure in WA in 2017 and has done over 250 SIPS/ SADI-S both primary and revisional. He also performs various bariatric -metabolic procedures including Sleeves, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and Revisional procedures.

Dr Rao has published his Early Outcomes of Primary SADI-S: an Australian Experience , in Obesity Surgery Journal 2020 and is currently in the process of submitting his 4-year nutritional outcomes of his SADI Patients. Dr. Rao is passionate about meeting the requirements for delivery of high-quality perioperative and long-term follow-up care for his patients and commitment to effective and safe, patient-centered care.
