Biography

Marguerite has been caring, educating, and advocating for Bariatric Surgery Patients for 15 years. In her role as Program Coordinator, she has helped her team grow and provide high quality care to high acuity patients. She has developed standards and protocols that have led to high level outcomes.

She is currently working on her Doctorate in Nursing Practice and plans on completing her degree in August. During this endeavor, she had conducted a research study on the perception of obesity bias in nursing students. She hopes that these results will support the establishment of a regular curriculum in schools of nursing related to the care of patients with the complex disease of obesity.
