During this interactive session attendees will begin with an overview of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) requirements for annual quality improvement (QI) and how to leverage and interpret data available via the MBSAQIP Registry to choose meaningful initiatives. Attendees will learn from surgeon experts about QI methodologies, interventions, prioritization, and culture. During the second half of this session attendees will break into small work groups led by expert QI facilitators to simulate each step of selecting and conducting a formal QI project, culminating in a brief presentation of project results and experiences.
